PROVO, Utah—Sept. 28, 2010—Nu Skin Enterprises, Inc. was honored with the Best New Product of the Year 2010 International Business Award for its ageLOC Transformation daily skin care system that targets aging at its source. The system represents Nu Skin’s largest product launch to date with $150 million in sales in the first nine months since its launch. Nu Skin was also named a distinguished honoree in five additional categories including Product Development Team of the Year andExecutive of the Year in Asia at the awards gala on Monday in Istanbul.
“ageLOC is transformational for Nu Skin,” said Truman Hunt, Nu Skin president and chief executive officer. “Nu Skin’s success in 2009 was marked with record revenue, a record number of executive distributors and a record product launch of the company’s new ageLOC anti-aging skin care system. In the coming months, we look forward to taking the ageLOC story ‘inside’ with the launch of nutritional products.”
ageLOC Transformation
During Nu Skin’s two-day global distributor convention in October 2009, the company sold $17 million of ageLOC products – exceeding any previous convention product launch by more than 200 percent. The International Business Award applauded Nu Skin Korea’s ageLOC product launch, where nearly $15 million in product sales were generated.
“By targeting the ultimate sources of aging with our proprietary ageLOC science, our research and development team has the advantage of developing truly game-changing products with both preventative and corrective anti-aging benefits,” said Joe Chang, Ph.D., Nu Skin chief scientific officer and executive vice president of product development. “In a third-party clinical trial on ageLOC Transformation, 100 percent of subjects showed improvements in signs of aging in only seven days, as determined by a clinical grader.”
